Class description

As we add curved and sculptural elements to a cabinet, its visual interest and impact can grow rapidly. Students in this class will use three different methods—sculpted surfaces, coopered doors and bent laminations—to design and build a cabinet. This seven-day class will start with the unique and personal design of the cabinet and then work through all the production details to complete the piece. The cabinets will be designed to knock down for ease in shipping or transportation back home. Cabinets will be limited to a maximum of 40” wide X 40” high X 20” deep.

The material fee will cover the cost of 39 BF of cherry, 5.5 BF of walnut, cherry veneered sheet goods (¾” and ¼”), ¾” plywood for jigs, and incidental materials for the construction of this cabinet.
