Class description

Join Andy Glantz in a 7-day workshop that will cover the joinery and construction methods to create your own piece. This class uses the fundamental frame and panel construction method to create a lovely cabinet that can be used as an end table or nightstand. Each student will build a piece of furniture that is 17” deep, 30” wide, and 32” high. The frames will be cherry and the panels curly maple. Discussion topics will also include router jigs, grain direction, and creating a personal design vocabulary. This project is designed to be knock-down for disassembly for your trip home and easy reassembly once there. Please note that class time does not include finish-sanding or any finishing. No door pulls are included. 

Tools and machines that will be used: table saw, router, belt and orbital sanders, and hand tools.
